Veterinary Technician

A-4 Animal Hospital in Lincoln, NE is looking to add 1-2 full-time/part-time Veterinary Technicians (licensed or eligible to sit for exam) to our family. We are a busy 2 doctor practice that has been serving Lincoln and surrounding areas for 50+ years. We strive to make a lasting connection with our clients and patients by offering exceptional care at all points of contact. If exotics are your interest this is the place for you. Our business is made up of 85% small animals and 15% exotics. We see a large variety of avian patients and small mammals ranging from chinchillas to sugar gliders. We’ve even seen the occasional squirrel for a local rescue!

If you are looking to broaden your knowledge of handling and treating a range of different species other than the usual canines and felines, then we are the practice for you!

Duties include but are not limited to:

* Surgical assistance and preparation (including laser procedures)
* Anesthesia monitoring
* Digital radiographs
* Patient restraint, venipuncture, IV catheter placement
* Ability to perform dental cleanings and radiographs
* The knowledge to set up and run-in house labs such as: Fecal analysis, urinalysis, blood chemistry, CBC, gram stain, and other procedures properly
* Willingness to be a team player

Associate Veterinarian

Job Description

A-4 Animal Hospital is a small animal/exotic practice, providing quality medicine in a compassionate environment since 1963. Our practice is comprised of 85% small animal and 15% exotic. Our Medical Director is also one of the area’s leading Avian specialists. A-4 AH also has up-to-date equipment including digital x-rays and cold laser therapy!

We are located in Lincoln, NE, which is home to the University of Nebraska and the Cornhuskers. On any given football Saturday, our stadium turns into a city of over 80,000. Our walking/running/biking trail system is one of the best around. The nightlife and restaurants in the Hay Market and Railyard areas, in Downtown Lincoln, offer a variety of entertainment and dining.

A-4 Animal Hospital is looking to add a veterinarian who is dedicated and committed to practicing the highest standards of patient care and client education. The ideal candidate is searching for both growth and challenge, who is motivated and enthusiastic. Experience is a plus, although newly graduated veterinarians seeking quality mentorship are more than welcome to apply!

Requirements

Must be a licensed DVM (or have the ability to become licensed) in the state of Nebraska.
